MSOE’s Campaign to Accelerate Innovation
Campaign Mission
MSOE strives to set the standard for preparing leaders to solve the diverse technical challenges of the 21st century. It is essential that the university’s infrastructure, programs and financial resources rise to meet this challenge.
The Next Bold Step campaign accelerates fulfillment of this vision by delivering the support necessary to:
- Position MSOE as a national leader in applied artificial intelligence education through the strategic, pervasive embedding of AI in MSOE’s academic programs.
- Create state-of-the-art facilities and academic programs that support our students and vision.
- Attract, support and retain outstanding students, faculty and staff.
- Continue instilling the MSOE Mindset to ensure that our graduates are leaders of character, passionate learners, responsible professionals and value creators; and
- Provide an attractive campus environment and student experience of the same high quality as MSOE academics.
Transforming MSOE for the Future
The Next Bold Step campaign is a comprehensive effort benefitting all corners of MSOE. This campaign will generate a minimum of $125 million through fiscal year 2030 to support strategic priorities including:
Capital Projects
State-of-the-art facilities like the Robert D. Kern Engineering Innovation Center support our students and faculty, and promote collaborative learning across all disciplines.
Scholarships
Access to education is at the heart of MSOE’s mission. Expanded scholarship funding will make attending MSOE possible for more students, attracting top talent while ensuring affordability for families.
Faculty Support
Exceptional education starts with exceptional educators. Resources to recruit and retain leading faculty in applied AI, engineering and beyond will cement MSOE’s role as a leader in these fields.
Student Support
Dedicated funds will enrich campus life through research opportunities, experiential learning and student organizations. By connecting students to hands-on experiences, MSOE prepares graduates to lead with confidence.
Operational Support Funds
Flexible contributions will meet the university’s greatest needs by supporting programs, scholarships, projects and faculty as MSOE continues to innovate and grow.
General Excellence
Investments in athletics, Career Connections, Residence Life and other key areas will ensure MSOE students have opportunities to thrive in all aspects of their university experience.
Regional Excellence, Global Impact
With a student population of just under 3,000 and 26,000 alumni spearheading excellence and innovation across all 50 states and 72 countries, the Next Bold Step campaign will strengthen MSOE’s impact on the many industries and communities we serve.
Advances in artificial intelligence are projected to contribute $15.7 trillion to the global economy and provide a 26% boost to GDP for local economies by 2030. The Next Bold Step campaign ensures that MSOE graduates can and will help lead this transformative revolution.
